Where Can I Find an Approved Registered Energy Auditor in My Area?
Participants who complete a pre-energy assessment through the Home Energy Conservation Program can now receive up to $5,000 back for participating. For any questions, reach out to [email protected] or call 1-855-659-0549. To simplify the process, GTA Restore has compiled a list of Approved Auditors serving the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Schedule your pre-energy audit with a Registered Energy Advisor (REA) from our approved list.
- Complete two or more of the recommended energy-efficient upgrades to achieve a minimum of 10% natural gas savings.
- Book a post-energy audit with the same Registered Energy Advisor to confirm that the work has been completed.
- Receive your incentive cheque within 8-10 weeks.
Qualifying Home Energy Upgrades:
To qualify for an incentive, you must install at least two of the recommended upgrades listed below.
- The cost for both the initial and follow-up audits is approximately $600 plus HTS. Enbridge will reimburse this upfront fee upon approval. Note that the cost of home energy assessments may vary among Enbridge Service Organizations.
- The energy assessment typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours for the pre-assessment and around 1 hour for the post-assessment.
- Air sealing cannot be counted as one of the first two mandatory upgrades but can be included as a third measure. Homeowners have the option to install certain upgrades themselves, like air sealing and draft proofing, but major upgrades, such as furnace or boiler replacements, must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor.
